DESCRIPTION:The Medicine Hat JazzFest has grown from a grassroots community-based event\, to a widely recognized world-class festival that has taken its place alongside the other great jazz festivals in Canada. \nWe feature an eclectic mix of venues\, running the gamut from our signature concert at the Downtown Bus Terminal Parkade to the intimate and quaint atmosphere of our late night clubs. We feature both free and ticketed events as well as a number of educational opportunities including workshops\, jams\, and a concert for elementary school children. \nWinner of the 2010 Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce Tourism Award of Distinction\, the Medicine Hat JazzFest has found a way to bring together great jazz and a community festival that’s all about fun and celebration\, and to do it in the beautiful setting of this small and friendly Alberta city.

DESCRIPTION:The Victoria Jazz Society was founded in 1981. We produce two major multi-day music festivals every summer\, TD Victoria International JazzFest\, and the Harbour Blues ‘n Roots Festival\, as well as a series of concerts from September to April every year. \nThe TD Victoria International JazzFest (formerly known as JazzFest International)\, is a ten-day music festival featuring the jazz\, blues\, and world music of local\, Canadian\, and internationally acclaimed musicians. \nThe “grandfather” of music festivals serving audiences in Vancouver and Gulf Islands region\, the TD JazzFest offers its devoted audience a wide scope of programming comparable to much larger festivals in significantly larger urban areas. Since its inception in 1985\, the festival has been presented and produced by the Victoria Jazz Society. The festival just celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024.

DESCRIPTION:The TD Markham Jazz Festival is an exciting and vibrant four-day event featuring well known professional jazz musicians performing on three stages on beautiful Main Street Unionville\, in Markham. \nFrom August 14-16\, Main Street Unionville comes alive with 30+ free performances during the day and under the stars on outdoor stages\, and on the street and in bars and restaurants.  Featured artists include acclaimed Canadian and International artists along with up-and-coming artists performing all styles of jazz and blues. \nOther festival features include heritage/historic tours\, art gallery visits\, beer and wine garden\, one-of-a-kind shopping\, and pubs and restaurants appealing to every budget and taste – all in a magical and enchanting locale known for its ambience!

DESCRIPTION:The Guelph Jazz Festival is an annual celebration of experimental\, adventurous\, and avant-garde\njazz music in Guelph\, ON. Founded in 1994 by Ajay Heble\, the festival has a long history of being\nan important stage in Canada for creative and improvised music. \nHeld the second weekend of September in downtown Guelph\, the festival brings together\nCanadian and international artists performing everything from experimental jazz and improvised\nmusic to genre-bending contemporary sounds\, with performances across city venues and public\nspaces. \nGuided by a vision to present excellent\, unconventional live music that celebrates the diversity\nand creativity of our world\, GJF is recognized both for its strong curatorial vision and for its\ncommitment to making creative music accessible to audiences of all kinds. \nIn 2026\, the Guelph Jazz Festival will take place September 11–13 in downtown Guelph\,\nfeaturing concerts\, workshops\, artist talks\, and a community parade. In the two days leading up to\nthe festival\, the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation at the University of\nGuelph will host the Guelph Jazz Festival Colloquium\, an educational forum exploring improvised\nmusic.
