As one of Canada’s most influential music festivals, the Guelph Jazz Festival is committed to providing opportunities for all people to be excited by and engaged in improvisational jazz and experimental music.
To fulfill this mission, the Festival strives to commission, produce, and present unique performances reflecting the highest standards of excellence and diversity indicative of the world in which we live, and to make these performances accessible to the broadest possible audience through an annual festival and a year-round program that includes educational programs, concerts and special events.
Typically, by mid-February, the GJF Artistic Direction is well underway assembling the lineup for the following September’s festival. 2021 is, of course, not your typical year, so we’re still in a process of wait-and-see what will be possible and desirable for our autumn programming. From here, however, we still hope to be able to present something resembling our typical five-day events. With this in mind, mark these dates (perhaps in pencil!) for the 2021 Guelph Jazz Festival: 15-19 September.
In the meanwhile, keep checking here for updates about some unconventional off-season programming that we have planned over the months to come. We sincerely look forward to offering live music experiences in 2021.
